General transmission of active object (editor block or -line)

   

From the language dropdown menu, you can choose between nine different languages. The choice only affects serial transmission of national 8 bits ASCII-characters, by translating them into an unused 7 bits ASCII-character.

  Select text file to open in new tabsheet editor
  Close topmost tabsheet or editor. Use Popup menu item File | Close All Editors to close all editors or Tools dropdown menu | Close All Managers to close all managers

Create new logfile or close currently open logfile

  Use dropdown menu to open or close tools or managers. when a tool is open the menu item is check marked.

Toggle Auto Save screen contents and command history on exit.

  Transmit command editor contents to AXE and add command to history list. Use the button to force transmission regardless of received prompt. Use attached dropdown menu to send control characters.
 

Confirm a command.

 

Inhibit a command.

 

Transmit command ALLIP with selected. Use drop down menu to select optional parameter.

 

Toggle TEST SYSTEM

 

Toggle Local Mode.  Transmit command MCLOC or EXIT.

 

Toggle CPT Mode. Transmit command PTCOI or PTCOE.

 

Switch between buffered transmission and TTY-transmission.  (IOG11/20-APN)

Note!  Not valid using IOIM, MTU or TCP/IP protocol.

 

Enable or disable Syntax Analysis function. Syntax analysis adds missing semicolon, deletes text after semicolon, unused space and comments.

Note! Syntax analysis is global and affects all transmission of commands towards AXE from editors and managers. It’s recommended to disable the feature while working with FILUTIL, whereas work with TEST SYSTEM and program corrections normally is possible with the feature enabled.

 

Enable or disable Auto Lookup feature. When the function is enabled, an incremental search is performed from the command history, to recall previously sent commands.

 

Toggle Auto Resend option. If a command responds with “FUNCTION BUSY”, it’s repeated until acceptance or Auto Resend function is disabled. Use drop down menu to toggle auto resend of user ID and password option.

 

Enable or disable Slaveprinter function. It’s recommended printing selected text from terminal window instead of using slave printer. Use drop down menu to customize settings.

  Extract the command from the command editor contents, and places it on the Windows Clipboard  available for ALEX. Use Ctrl-V or “Paste” to place Clipboard contents in the Find field and press Enter to find a hyperlink to the command description.
Use dropdown menu to switch between uppercase, lowercase or combined letters in the command editor.
 

Clear command editor.

 

Save Command History list to the file FIGARO.DTS. The history list is reloaded on program start. The file is also useful in an editor or the Command Manager.

Drop down menu item:

  •  Save command history list.
  •  Clear command history list.
  •  Transmit marked command from command history list.
  •  Transmit marked block, in reverse order, from command history list using Transmit Manager.
  •  Transmit entire command history list in reverse order.    (Max. 1000)
 

Select Userkey set from drop down menu or click to open tab sheet with access to userkeys editor. User defined commands are available from the combo box attached to the command editor or by pressing the hot keys Ctrl + F1..12 when command editor has focus.

Note! Empty parameter fields are filled, if the parameter is known.

Valid for DATE, TIME, DAY, RP, EMG, MACCG, SNT, DIP, SDIP,  IO, NODE, POS, BG, BSNB and EXCHANGE parameters

Terminal

  Shift - Ctrl - Arrows - PgUp - PgDn - Home - End Use standard Windows navigation keys or mouse dragging, to select text in the terminal window. Selected text can be dragged and dropped on topmost Editor, Clax, Parameter or Command Editor.

Copy the selected text to the Windows® Clipboard . (Can be pasted into any editor)

Connect / Release TCP/IP or Telnet session using the selected IP address and port.

F5

Send logOn towards AXE. Connection state is available from the terminal caption. (Logged On, Logged Off, Reading, Writing, Dialog, IOG11/20-APN etc.)  If Configuration | Settings | Auto LogOn is selected, a LogOn request is sent automatically, when a command is sent and connection state is Logged Off

F9

LogOff from connected AXE. If Configuration | Settings | Auto LogOff is selected, a LogOff character is sent automatically, when an “ORDERED” string is received from AXE, and connection state is Logged On

F12

Send a break signal towards AXE to interrupt a printout session and connection state is Reading. If connection state is Dialog,  (TCDLI, INMCT etc.) the dialog session is terminated. If connection state is FILUTIL - Ctrl-Z is sent towards the APN-processor, otherwise EXIT; is sent

 

Retransmit the selected (highlighted) command from terminal window. A syntax analysis is performed to remove preceding prompt and spaces, prior to transmission

 

Search for entered text string in the terminal window

 

Load the terminal window with the file ….FIGAROxx\SYSTEM\FIGARO.CNS

 

Save the terminal window to the file ….FIGAROxx\SYSTEM\FIGARO.CNS

 

Extract command or heading from highlighted line, and transfer it to the Windows® Clipboard for use with ALEX. Paste it into the “Find” field using Ctrl-V or select “Paste” from the Edit menu, for a link to corresponding description.

 

Save the selected text to a custom file.

 

Print the selected text on the standard Windows® printer. (Use Shift, Ctrl and mouse to mark and right click to unmark) The button is enabled, only when one or more lines are marked. It’s recommended using this feature instead of the traditional slave printer function
